More than 100 corporate teams now support Meals on Wheels in the weekday delivery of meals to the area's homebound. With our headquarters on Willow Lawn Drive and 12 field sites throughout the surrounding counties and the Tri-Cities, corporate teams find volunteering convenient and satisfying.
Teams volunteer a minimum of once each month to bring a meal and a friendly smile to our homebound neighbors. Most deliveries take about 1 1/2 hours and allow the employees to perform a vital volunteer duty in a flexible time frame.
Recognition activites through the year include an annual volunteer appreciation picnic, spaghetti dinners and other exciting events.
Also available for interested corporate teams is to perform a "Day of Caring" for a Meals on Wheels client. This activity typically involves a group of volunteers spending a few hours on a weekend, to help improve a client's exterior of their home by painting, raking, mowing grass and other outdoor chores that our clients are no longer able to perform.
